DIY wedding.

I finished work on Wednesday 22nd June and it has been a whirlwind since then. Wedding prep took over, thankfully my friend Sian came to my rescue on Thursday and was a force to be reckoned with, she lives in Dubai so if anyone over there needs help whipping their wedding into shape I highly recommend you get Sian on the blower. It was so stressful, two days before the wedding and so much still to do, but Sian was a ray of light and was so positive that we managed to get everything I'd hoped for done. Thank you Sian.

Two days before the wedding and we still needed to do the sweetie bags for the guests, the table plan, the order of service, the placenames, the instructions so guests knew to leave their well wishes on the luggage tags, get the ushers ties oh and my dress was still a little snug at this point! This is what we managed to come up with:

Fabulous table plan. What you'll need:
1 x piece of plywood
1 x tin of paint, left over from when we painted dining room
11 x 5 x 7 pieces of pastel coloured card
22+ x pretty flowers, printed off the web, cut-out and stuck to the card to decorate
60 x rosebuds to form boarder - I got these it clearance bin at hobbycraft

I was so happy with how the table plan turned out and lots of guests commented on how lovely they thought it was.

Sweetie bags:
65 x Pink & White striped paper sweetie bags
Pastel coloured ribbon to tie bow around bag
Bags filled with retro sweeties brought over from Germany by my mum

Guests were really excited to see these when they sat down at the tables.

Multi-coloured luggage tags for guests to write their well wishes on (for my scrap book).
Sian wrote out the instructions on placename tags the morning of the wedding!
Once comment had been written guests left these in a vintage vanity case on the bar.

Table set with all the trimmings.

I was so pleased with how it all came together, it was perfect for us. Pictures of our big day still to come...
xo.
